ATTN: MUSIC LOVERS (sxsw)

So,
As some of you know, there have been some recent, strange and hilarious, even if insanely frustrating changes in my whole situation...

The whirling dervish of Life...

Because of which, I will not be able to see any of your beautiful faces in Austin this week.

But, while I'm staying in LA for writing and preproduction on some (very exciting) new music, I do have a few friends who are Extremely Excited to be doin their own things at Southby.

Just wanted to letya know, to inform that if you have an open hour, or somethin you were "supposed" to see, but don't reeaally want to, these shows won't disappoint.
DIG! :)

Tell em Frenchie said "RocknRoll!"

#1- The Sweet Kill
THURSDAY @ 2pm
Maggie Mae's
(Rooftop, great for a lunch/show)

THURSDAY @ 8pm
Shakespeare's Pub
(Good spot for a dinner/show)

[My amazing friend Pete Mills, and his crew of lunatics,
A very Modern, Electronicish Rockband, ready to jumpstart their plan for world domination, a little early-
just for the element of surprise.]

#2- Emily Wells
THURSDAY @ 11pm
Buffalo Billiards

FRIDAY @ 1pm
Convention Center (sxsw)

[This girl, Emily, is one of the most talented, unique new songwriters and performers I know.
All songs off her "debut record" are called symphonies, and besides the deeply badass jazz grooves woven into them by her phenomenal band, they are.
She plays violins, toy pianos, an array of analog and digital effects systems, and sings (beautifully).
Its sorta jaw-dropping.
Plus, she's supercute and very sweet.]

[Ok, shit- if the amount and quality of these slots don't impress you, or show you how hard universal is pushin these kids, their show will do the rest. Good friends, good kids, good show. For real. Greg, I belive I took you with me to see them before we split last year- their show has improved exponentionally since. If you can, go.]
